This is my current TBR list for October 2026! During this time of year I'm super drawn to cozy fantasy, literary fiction, and recipe books. I'm looking to add to this list so let me know what you think I should read; I'm open to all genres.

  1. The Dues and Don'ts of Magic by Delemhach

Delemhach is, to date, one of my favorite authors of all time. Her ability to blend fantasy, humor, and outrageously clever plotlines is unmatched. Her series called The House Witch. and the accompanying series in the same fictional universe, are books that I reread every single year. I can't put into words the excitement I felt when I saw that she was gracing us with a new book.

RELEASE DATE: October 6th, 2026

PLATFORMS: Kindle, Audible, Hardcover, Paperback, & more

2-3. The Crescent Moon Tearoom and The Witching Moon Manor by Stacy Sivinski

RELEASE DATES (already out): October 21st, 2024 and October 7th, 2025 (respectively).

PLATFORMS: Kindle, Audible, Hardcover, Paperback, & more

After reading both of Sangu Mandanna's bestselling novels, I was craving more witchy, cozy fantasy to fill the void they left. We've all had a book hangover, and while I was feeling exceptionally cozy after this read, I knew I needed something that could compare to keep me satisfied. Bookstagrammers across the board have recommended this series by Stacy Sivinski for its coziness, romance, and engaging plotline about three twin sisters who have to fight to keep their magic; and each other.

  1. Last Call, Vampire by R. L. Caulder

R. L. Caulder is one of my favorite Paranormal Romance authors. Her D.I.A Academy series, including thos she wrote with author M. Sinclair, will always have their own little place in my heart. Her books were my first real introduction to the genre, as well as the RH romance. Caulder describes this book as a "...spicy and cozy paranormal romantic comedy. You’ll find it packed with banter, small-town supernatural chaos, found family, and opposites-attract tension. And the best part? A grumpy vampire with a secretly soft center for our sweet human bar-owner that’s just looking for a place to belong." Slightly different from her usual RH romances and academy settings, I'm greatly looking forward to this book!

RELEASE DATE: October 25th, 2026

PLATFORMS: Currently available for pre-order on Kindle

  1. Kitchen Confidential by Anthony Bourdain

Anthony Bourdain has been one of my favorite culinary figures since I was a child watching No Reservations and Parts Unknown on television. This season fills me with nostaglia, and one way I revel in that feeling is with intentional homecooking. I'm looking forward to this novel for Bourdain's philosophical understanding of food and the kitchen inspirations that I know will follow; additionally, I'm curious to read Bourdain's sentiments in this memoir on the less-glamorous side of the restaurant industry. I'll be listenng to this book on Audible, where Bourdain himself narrates the memoir.

RELEASE DATE (already out): May 22, 2002

PLATFORMS: Kindle, Audible, Hardcover, Paperback

  1. Cosmic Queries by Neil deGrasse Tyson

I'm a die-hard Neil deGrasse Tyson fan and I've been fairly outgoing with my love for his literary works. It all started last year with his book called Starry Messenger, and I've found myself addicted to cosmic facts and expanations of astronomy/physics ever since. This book is a direct expansion of his podcast called StarTalk, which I also enjoy, and I'm excited to read another one of his works that break down cosmic concepts into accessible pieces, while still asking the philosophical questions we all have about our origin and place in the universe.

RELEASE DATE (Already out): March 2nd, 2021

PLATFORMS: Kindle, Audible, Hardcover, Paperback, & more. I highly recommend a physical copy due to the photography, diagrams, and graphics featured throughout the book.
